Well we went to the Bahamas on an awesome cruise for Thanksgiving Holidays. I think that was one of the best ideas I have ever had! I finally got my landlubber legs back after a few days and am making preparations for Christmas.

There is a wonderful freebie that is the Download a Day over @ Divine Digital till the 15th of December. I just couldn't resist playing with the color palette a little bit and I made some papers to match.

I almost just trashed it since I am less than thrilled with how it ended-up but then figured maybe you could use some of it.

Our Heritage - Kit 4 - New Freebie

Here it is, part 4, the final pieces of this collection. I hope you are all enjoying it but I don't know since I haven't gotten much feedback. Perhaps the comment moderation settings were hindering you from leaving feedback? I set those a long time ago so I just went in to check out blogger's new spam detection filter info. and modified the comment moderation settings. I hope that makes it easier, however, they did recommend that I leave the part where you type in a word in order to reduce potential spam... ahhhhhh, I just love that it has to be sooooo complicated thanks to spammers.

I scrapped with this kit and made a new header and background for my blog. I haven't quite taken the time to figure out about the size but may or may not get to that since I am staying too busy with my life away from the computer ;=)

I have decided to leave all the freebies up till I get back from Thanksgiving. I'm so excited about Thanksgiving since we are going somewhere NEW this year and I am NOT cooking but instead having a nice vacation!

I also made a bunch of Alphas to coordinate with the kit... there is the stacked note paper alpha, the Upper Case letters in the "Feel" font, another lower case alpha in the "Centabel Book" font along with all the numbers and punctuation to match this set and the one I previously gave out in kit 2. I did some research and found that a lot of people like to use these 2 fonts together (primarily on wedding invites) and I do think they rather compliment each other myself...

Our Heritage - Kit 1 - New Freebie

I started a new kit months ago and after pc issues and all the day in and day out responsibilities, I've worked on it here and there and it has evolved into a family heritage kit since that has been something that has been a focus of mine with all the old pics I have. I have lots of papers, and may make even more.... lots of embellishments, and I am sure I will make more, and a couple of alphabet sets. I am not done with this it is just a creative outlet for me and I hope some of you might enjoy having it. I stay so busy but I plan to try and give out a little bit once a week. Hopefully on the same day each week but we shall see how that goes.

Okay, so I read the newsletter from The Studio on April 6th and they were having a Last Call for the Designing Contest for the Spring Fling Event. Entries for Week 1 were due by Thursday April 7th at Midnight! I like a little challenge and since we could pick our own palette (the theme - "Wedding" already stipulated)... "For Mother" - DSS March CC Freebie

I really love to do color challenges and usually the palettes are pretty challenging, however, this month I actually chose a challenge because the palette was breath taking! I saw this palette and immediately thought of a heritage style/themed collection. You see, I began working on a Life Book for my Mom and collecting all kinds of photos and information. I figured it will also be a legacy for future generations as she already has 10 Great Grandchildren and is only in her 60s! So I named this kit "For Mother" because the soft pastels really work with what I have already done for the album... plus Mother's Day is just around the corner so that fits too.... right? The challenge this month is over at Digital Scrapbooking Studio and there are so many pretty kits in this palette. If you pick them all up you will have a very comprehensive collection and therein lies the beauty of the Color Challenges!

There are Five (5) zip files to download since I ended up with 27 Papers, 76 Embellishments and a complete Alpha Set so click on each of the previews for a download with no passwords, pop-ups, waiting, etc.

Now back to Air Conditioner repair/replace woes! Oh, the joys of home ownership! At least I have the weekend to look forward to... back to Disney's Animal Kingdom we go :) This time I'd better get-up and get there early if I want to see the Gorillas because the past 2 weekends I missed them. Still got to see and do lots of other things like an awesome spot for the parade and ate at the Rain Forest Cafe (which I personally thought was nothing special) but I want to watch the Gorillas!!

A Little Crush - Freebie for the DSO Feb. '11 CC

I started working on a little something for the Color Challenge over @ DSO and what a nightmare! I've had viruses on my pc in the past and used many different programs to make sure and clean it all up but tech support (my hubby) has been telling me for over a year that we need to RELOAD this harddrive to be sure it is all clean with a fresh install. So.... about a week ago my pc went nuts with all kinds of junk saying click here to take care of the problem.... well, that is the last thing I want to do because that is actually the virus. Porn sites were trying to come up on my browser, I was getting messages about a password stealing program... OMG I have never seen anything like that and still am baffled about what exactly set it in motion?? So hubby says, "Turn the puter off." Well, before I had gotten a hold of him I had already unplugged the internet since this puter is hard-wired and I am not using the wireless card that is installed in it. I went ahead and backed-up what hadn't been backed-up recently and shut her down. Hubby came home with a new harddrive (that way my old data is still intact for now so I can make sure I didn't forget something important which has been known to happen) for it and we spent the weekend reloading EVERYTHING starting with Windows! That is probably the problem right there... I really need to break down and buy a Mac. Of course as the week has progressed I have realized, oh, I don't have Adobe pdf reader, oh, I don't have Winzip, oh, I don't have ftp software installed.... Urrrrggghhhhh! So I have been digging out those programs and putting them on.

All that said, I think I FINALLY am ready to post my freebie, such as it is, for any who are interested. I did have some motivation when I first started out and now it just looks to me like a collection of various stuff. Well, perhaps some of it will work with the other free kits you can get. I tried to play with scatters a little and make an alpha but I'm not sure that I like the way the alpha turned out very much. I bought a new alpha action and maybe I'm just not using it correctly??

My "Florida Style" belated Christmas Gift to you - Big Freebie!

Well, I have had a lot of fun making this kit but unfortunately not a lot of time. Even though it is a Christmas Kit, and although Christmas is over for almost another 11 1/2 months, possibly some of ya'll might find a use for this kit.

I had so many ideas and it was so hard to settle on the color palette. It turns out I may just have another kit altogether with the stuff I didn't include in this kit since it would be entirely another palette!!

I want you to know that I paid strict attention to Quality Assurance every step I took to the point of distraction. That may be part of the reason the palette was so hard to nail down??

I don't know but hey, I think these colors will lend themselves well to mix and matching with other stuff you may already have...

I know when I scrap I don't just stick with 1 particular kit but use my own preferences to pull from whatever kit I think will work best.

Anyway, if you find any problems I would appreciate a shout-out to let me know so I can correct it. Also, I don't mind if you just say Hey!! Or not....

My Buddy Boy - Sept. DSO CC Freebie Kit

I hope everyone had a great Summer... of course it still FEELS like Summer here in Hot, Humid Central Florida but I can still dream of cooler temps to come in a month or so! You'd think that since I have lived here practically my entire life I'd be used to it but I'm not. Okay, enough talking about the weather!

I "challenged" myself to make a boyish kit with the colors in this month's Color Challenge over @ DSO and named it "My Buddy Boy" after my One and Only Grandson who is going on 5 soon and just as sweet as he can be!

Just in case you are interested in reading (or watching) classical, fictional literature... I just finished watching the BBC Mini-Series "Little Dorrit" based on the novel by Charles Dickens and Wow! I LOVED it! Now I need to read the book! Seriously, we have all had to read "Oliver Twist" or "Great Expectations" but I had never heard of this One... it is truly a Master Piece and I have a new found admiration for Dickens as truly an author whos works are still sooooo relevant today... especially what matters most in life is relationships! His characters are so fascinating!

That's it from me for now until who knows when I will be back to this blog... probably next months challenge if I have the time... I'm off to go back to enjoying my life AWAY from the computer... Grace & Peace, Cindyrelly

I have a God-Sized Dream AND "My Love" Freebie

I have been keeping somthing to myself for a long time now... Too Long! Well, I've pretty much only shared it with my hubby.

Many years ago I had an idea, at least I thought it was my idea, but it wasn't it was a God-Sized Dream. I felt like it was a great idea but maybe I had misunderstood because certainly I wasn't capable of acting on it... Where does One begin?

So I just pushed that "nice idea" aside and kept on going. Over the years I have learned, however, that no matter how much I try to push it aside and claim I didn't hear correctly... that is simply not the case. At First it was just every once in awhile I would think about it from a different angle and ponder the idea. I have now come to the point where it is ALL I can think about!

I was watching Sunday Morning on CBS a couple of weeks ago and just caught the tail-end of a segment about the 50 in 52 Journey. It sounded intriguing so I went to browse the site and try to learn a little more... WOW! I couldn't get away from it. I think I watched every video story on there. You really need to check it out!

I may only be One person, but I can make a difference in my community and I will with God's direction. We just can't sit around and wait for the government to fix problems because that is not their job.

I guess I am rambling a bit here but I wanted to let you ladies (and gents?) know that I am going to seek becoming a non-profit company and I have added the donation button to this blog, not to help me pay for my time making you digi-scrapping freebies but to help me toward that goal.

I will continue to share with you about it in future posts. This blog that I started 2 and a half years ago now has another purpose and that is to share with you this dream!

I participated in this month's color challenge over at DSO and we were allowed to use just 3 of the colors on the palette. I like 3 of them a lot and wanted to create a "Heritage" type kit for you with a Valentine Theme. I added 3 colors of my own to point it more in that direction and the result is my latest freebie kit called: "My Love."

I got extremely carried away as usual so there will be a lot more freebies in this theme/palette. I even made an Alphabet for it!

We had the most amazing time visiting with some old friends that came here to go to Disney. They moved away to Texas about 7 years ago and we have missed them.

It is FREEZING here but no snow... we never get snow so at least that doesn't complicate matters. I am running the heat though... Brrrrr!

Winter Joy - SAS Nov. CC Freebie

Remember how I said there would be a Surprise Bonus yesterday? Well, I wanted to make a mini for the Stone Accents Studio Nov. Color Challenge, when I noticed that palette and the One from DSO were very similar. The DSO Palette had Beige, Green, Purple and Orange in lovely Pastels just like the SAS Palette did. However, the DSO Palette had Pink and a Second Green while SAS had Baby Blue and Yellow. I decided to make Winter Joy even bigger by adding the Yellow and Blue to what I already had and ended-up with a big mega palette and mega kit! Here are some of those Yellows and Blues and if you download from the previous post you can start putting it all together and get both palettes. It works for me anyway and I hope it works for you.

See what I mean?

I guess I just caught a little Wintery Excitement since we have had some nice cooler temps here and especially after all the RAIN last Wednesday :)

There is so much stuff and I have been so busy with family and holidays that I will start by giving out this First Part, a sampler to you here today.

Change of Plans - DSO Nov CC Freebie

I made some papers for the November Color Challenge over @ DSO. Then I attended my weekly chat for Digi Design Academy last Thursday Evening! Thus, the Change of Plans ;)

Sherah of SKrapperDigitals is our instructor and she has to be One of the most generous people I know. She not only teaches us such amazing techniques that I have only just begun to scratch the surface but she also gives us what she likes to call "Class Treats!" Well, this past week she made the most adorable Snowman Template Right in front of our eyes (literally as she shares her desktop) and then she gave it to us for FREE ;) Did I mention generous?? Soooooooooo.... I had to change my plans and go Wintery on my Mini Kit. For now I will give you my scrapped papers that are pretty but I am not making matching embellishments. I will be back soon with Winter Joy!

"Chica Bonita" a Freebie Kit for the DSO Oct CC

I made a mini kit for the October Color Challenge over @ DSO. I decided to call it "Chica Bonita." The reason is that my 4yr old granddaughter Charlotte always calls her 4 yr old cousin ( another granddaughter ) Chica rather than by her real name which is Mishka. It started when she couldn't talk so good and now we all call her that! It is just too irresistable. I think Chica Bonita translates to Pretty Girl but my Spanish never was good ( just 3 semesters in college ). If any of you can either confirm on deny that please feel free.

Grungy Garden Freebies ~ Last Part

I'm Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired... Wednesday @ the Pediatrician's Office we were prescribed with Flu Medicine as the children have the symptons and rapid flu test confirmed it. That is what I get for sending them to school. Oh, and the joy of trying to "FIND" the meds and get the insurance to Pay for it...Not Cheap! But by Thursday they were acting much better so the Tamiflu must be doing its job to keep the virus from replicating itself.

Today they are bouncing off the walls and they can't go back to school till mid next week. It is like Summer all over again and I am the designated Chair of the Entertainment Committee :)

I'm ready for that Calgon Bubble Bath!

I am anticipating cooler weather here in Central Florida around mid to late October and believing October will be an awesome month... I could use a little charge with cooler weather after our typical ridiculously Hot and Humid Summer... after living here for 38 years I can say I still get tired of Summer really quick!

Well, I said I would be back before the end of the month and I still have a week left! It has been an exhausting month around here... everyone been sick in One way shape, form or another... Fevers, Antibiotics... Two trips to the ER... Oooof! But FINALLY it seems we are catching a break only to find out that now there is a confirmed case of H1N1 at the school and they won't tell me if the sick child ( who hasn't been in school since Thursday ) is in either of the kids classrooms. You better believe I have been a sanitizing fool and I am soooooo over it. We went and played at the McDonald's Playland today because I am NOT gonna live in fear!

So, enough of that nonsense, I have more goodies for you from the September Palette for the Color Challenge over @ DSO. It has been time consuming all the steps I have been going through making stuff and then grunging them up with filters. I think I am in LOVE with Cluster Frames and I made Ya'll a Cluster Journal Taggie too! Oh, and an Alpha this time :) I went way overboard but it is called a "Challenge!" I already got my posting bonus but I just couldn't stop myself... I am an ADDICT.

I have 98 papers and have decided to give you them all in installments since it is very time consuming to make previews and upload. After all, the month isn't even half-way over yet and I am on VACATION :)

DSO June Color Challenge Freebie: Promises

I really missed participating in the color challenges over @ DSO in May and June.

Also, I have really been inspired by the Scripture Challenges over @ SBE.

I have had an ongoing fascination with Word Art and longed to be more creative in that area... thus, I chose a Scripture Verse from Psalm 103 which is a Psalm of David Blessing God for His Many Benefits.

Now, I am a Believer and I thought this could also help me to read my Bible more so it is a Win, Win, Win scenario... Right? I did end-up studying this Psalm a bit and I named the kit "Promises" since Verse 17 is a Promise to those who believe and keep God's Commandments. This particular Psalm, as it turns out, is about His Mercy toward us and His Covenant with us... Also, Hymm Writers have turned it into song with the Seventeenth-century hymm, "Praise Ye the Lord, the Almighty" and the 19th-century hymm, "Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven."

I think I definitely gained some pretty good understanding and enlightenment.

If you like, you can enjoy the WA with this Mini-Kit... if not, then there are some decent papers and embellishments as well. Oh, I also put the WA on an old scanned book page to give you options.

Anyway, I threw in a bunch of extra papers in the 2nd paper zip that were from my "working" and are not actually shown in the preview... Also, they are on 4-Shared but NO PASSWORDs!

Wow... I think this is the longest stretch I haven't blogged! Life is ALWAYS so jam-packed but I'm convinced that lately it is a lot more than that but life is actually changing into a new "Season" and no I don't mean just Summer :)

I'm learning to enjoy change and not fight it which has been a tough concept to embrace in the past.

Here is an idea of what I am working on:

Those are MY papers from the Digi Design Academy Collaborative effort in the works which will "Go Live" on May 27th? I think if I remember correctly. I'm not sure how many total participants there will be but I know it will be awesome.

I haven't started the embs yet but have some ideas spinning.

I haven't forgotten my graduation kit project but ALL of it needs to be made by me... no CU stuff allowed unless it is mine! So, that being said I still need to complete One more lesson and then make the kit.

So much to do, so little time! Have a GREAT DAY!

DDA Sneak Peak and HW Freebies

I'm celebrating hitting over 30,000 hits on my blog ( since I added the counter about 6 months into the blog )...

I have been working in every spare moment I can find to finish my HW for Digi Design Academy ( DDA ) so I can finish my Graduation Kit that I started about 6 weeks ago!

Below are some goodies that won't be in the kit but are just stuff I was playing with so I thought I would offer them out to tantalize you.

Did I mention how EXCITED I am about graduating AND my idea for the kit... I can't tell you what the theme or name are just yet but I am in LOVE with it and hope you will be too... as you can see the colors are a bit wild but you will understand better when I am done.

Suffice to say that I have elected to not participate in any color challenges till I finish this... I am the type of person who absolutely has to finish what I start.

For example, I started college @ 22 years of age with Two Little Girls... became a single mom by the time I was 24 but still graduated with my engineering degree by the time I was 30. Don't think for a minute that I wasn't tempted to quit but I just couldn't live with myself if I did. I got the reward though, and I'm not talking about the degree either, I met the man of my dreams about 2 semesters before graduating.... he was over in the college of business and now we have been married almost 12 years :) ( in June ).

I know some of you actually read my blog and we have become friends so that was for you guys {{{Big HUG}}}... now onto the gifties!

The First item up for grabs is actually in the color palette of the new kit:

The Second item is just some of my HomeWork assignments... a pin with a pearl, frame and border from scratch... that's right, I didn't use anyone's CU items.... go me :)

I have to go and touch my new Kathy Van Zeeland purse again.... so soft! I just LOVE her "style."

Okay, I haven't forgotten about my blog... just been busy going to the beach and learning new things on the pc.... just no designing.

That was almost 2 weeks ago and Monday I just got back from a 2,000 mile road trip to PA and brought the Cold weather with me!

I don't think I'm gonna have time to do any Color Challenges this month because my birthday was Tuesday and we are having a party with the grandkids and then an Egg Hunt on Saturday.

I made a LO with it ;) This is a photo I took last week of my Gorgeous "Live Oak" Tree in front of my house. We have a mutual understanding, the tree and I, it is a classical Love/Hate relationship. I hate the pollen, leaves and Acorns but LOVE the shade. I respect this tree as unfortunately my new neighbors across the street didn't with theirs and chopped it down... which, btw, I am still trying to figure out how they got away with it since we live in a "tree friendly" city that requires you to have a permit and you had better have a very good reason! It is officially Valentine's Day, February 14th here now... 12:33 AM ;) and I am watching the Retro T.V. Network that we now pick-up as a benefit of buying the Digital Converter Box and Antenna for the big switch to DTV! That's Right... We don't subscribe to satellite or cable since we really don't watch T.V. and usually just get our movies in the mail from Blockbuster! Well, I have to tell you that this channel is quite addictive! I have been watching "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" for hours now whilst pc-ing.

I have been cleaning up all my data and found a little something just in case you are interested... some Heart-Shaped Buttons and Burlap Textured Papers in matching colors. They are from when I first started learning so I will tell you up front, not my best work but I figured maybe someone would want them. FYI... they match the "Skip ABC" kit that Pamela of Digitreats did last year.

I have to rebuild my "designing" pc and my DH is going to teach me how to do that so I won't have to rely on him next time I mess up my stuff :( That should be enlightening but I have no idea how long that will take on top of all the "Real-Life" stuff. So for now, Here ya go my friends:

DSO February Color Challenge Freebie

Wow! What a BUSY life I lead... never a dull moment.

This past week I had lots and lots of problems with virus and malware junk. VERY Frustrating but fortunate for me my hubby knows how to fix it, still... I have more that needs to be cleaned-up, ( that's how bad I got it ) which means time to make sure everything I can't possibly lose is backed-up. I do that on a fairly consistent basis yet there could be some stuff to fall through the cracks so I will be performing a COMPREHENSIVE evaluation of my data... mainly photographs of my little sweeties, Of Course!

I finished up a contribution to the DSO color challenge for February and won't be making any more new stuff till my data is all analyzed. I wanted to make more in this palette but needed to wrap-it-up.

I need to get some more heritage stuff packaged up for ya'll too since it has taken a back-seat to the color challenge "stuff." So, I won't completely disappear off the radar!

It was BITTER Cold here last week... Our coldest winter in several years and that has been very challenging for me since I am not at all used to having to "Bundle" up, both myself and the little ones! We suffer through the soggy, hot and miserable Summer in order to enjoy a nice, mild Winter and instead we are getting these hard freezes! Mind you, I'm not really complaining but just struggling to adjust.

Oh, I got to meet, In Real Life, a blogger friend that I have made through digital scrapping :) Yesterday, my DH ( Rob ) and I went out by Kissimmee ( Disney area )and met up with Linda and her DH Tony all the way from England! She told me a few months ago that they were coming over here on Holiday so I just couldn't miss the opportunity to meet-up. I'm so glad we did, it was great fun getting together. Oh, and I finally used my Tri-Pod that I bought about a year ago now that I figured out how to use the timer on the camera I have had for 3 Years! Here ya go:

I have surfed around for another CC to participate in ( I'm a true addict out looking for a score ) and this palette really grabbed me! I think the colors are nice and classy so I tried to go along with that type of theme.

Heritage Freebie Part Five

Wow, the Birthday Party was loads of fun AND challenges yesterday as there was a pool, stairs and a hot grill to try and keep the kids from getting hurt but we made it. There was One close call with my grandson when somehow he managed to get in the screen enclosure and jump in the pool which was covered with a Solar Pool Cover. My husband's quick reflexes managed to grab him immediately before he went under! That was scary... but then I thought, isn't it ironic since he refused to cooperate in swim lessons last Summer and get off the steps, let alone JUMP in!

I am going to share pics on my regular weekly post in case anyone is interested in looking at them, however, for tonight I just wanted to mainly share some Flower Bits that I made last week while fooling around with some ideas. I included other elements that I already had made... some lace, frames and a torn border but no papers since this is a Bonus Zip due to the fact I had decided just to do downloads on Saturday ( once a week ). I just couldn't help myself!

Not much to talk about this week... It has been Bitter Cold here the past week and we got a "Hard Freeze" which hasn't happened for about Five Years according to the Weather Folks. I've been busy with getting "stuff" done. You know, Doc Appts., Chores & Errands ;) This weekend my little Lilly will be turning "1." She's the youngest of my Six Grandkids!! We have a party to go to on Sunday so I need to charge up the batteries in my CamCorder and DigiCam.

It has been a good week trying to figure out where I left off before going to my Nana's funeral. I got lots done this past week as far as appointments and organization ;) I can't believe January is already half-way over.

Heritage Freebie Part Two

I am back from PA and what a surreal trip it was. I'm so glad I went since it really helped give me closure although I still keep telling myself that Nana won't be calling me.

Nana kept drawers full of photos and we were all allowed to sort through them and have as many as we wanted. I have sooo many photos of Nana and Grampie, plus a school portrait of me I had never seen. Many photos of my mom as a young girl too that I had never seen just in bags and boxes in drawers. What a treasure!

Also, it was the First time I have taken a "road trip" with my Sister and we enjoyed each others company. It definitely brought us closer together and I'm glad of that because we live a couple of hundred miles apart and haven't been able to spend very much time together since leaving home to raise our own families.

The weather was bitter cold and the day we left to drive home the car was covered in a half-inch of ice with icicles hanging off of it... I had to spend about 20 or so minutes scraping ice off the windows! Very different than anything I have ever experienced as I have lived in Florida practically my whole life and have only been up North in the Summer time. We finally saw the Sun breaking through the clouds when we got half-way through South Carolina.

I read a card that says, "A Sunset on Earth is a Sunrise in Heaven." I am a believer and I know her suffering is ended and now she is rejoicing in the presence of God.

Heritage Freebie and a Funeral :(

This New Year hasn't exactly started off Great but I know it is going to be my best year ever no matter what... I refuse to believe the best is behind me ;) My Nana passed on January 1st and that is a sad way to start the new year... here is the last photo I could find of us together and it was almost 20 years ago. When I looked at it ( although I have seen it before ) I was shocked to see for the first time how similar our faces are. I never really thought we looked very much alike.

I redid the "look" of my blog after over a year of looking at the last color scheme... I'm not totally thrilled with it but it will have to do for now.

I received a request from a blog reader to do a "Heritage" Series and thought that was an amazing idea. Over the holidays I began trying some things with the color palette that was used by SAS back during the Birthday Celebration a couple of months ago ( week 3 of the designer contest ).

I used elements from my new Heritage Series for my blog header. I am not sure how long this series will continue, however, I still plan to do the occasional Color Challenge as I find time.

SAS DEC Color Challenge Freebie

I had so much fun doing the Color Challenge over @ DSO that that I decided to do Boo's Color Challenge over @ SAS! I love Purple and this Color Palette was too scrumptious to pass up ;)

I still haven't made an Alpha yet for a kit but maybe if I can squeeze in sometime between now and New Years! Ha, as if I could stay away from Photo Shop that long!

Now I will take the rest of the year off and enjoy my husband and precious little Grand Children. It's been a bit of a bummer week since my hubby lost his job on Tuesday and I also found out my Nana has taken a turn for the worse on Tuesday as well and may pass away before Christmas. I am over my mini-depression now... Chin-Up because bad stuff happens and good stuff happens... That's Life! After all, we just got an amazing deal on a mini-van and bought it ( all paid for... no payments ) right before Thanksgiving and what a blessing it has been since we can all fit sooooo comfortably :) So if you don't hear from me again for awhile... DSO December Color Challenge Freebie

I decided to participate in my First ever Color Challenge and chose KimB's palette over @ DSO. I had the most fun ever making this kit... I swear it gets funner ( I know that is not a real word but it works here ) every time I make One! This time I made my own Journal tags and Overlays ( 5 of them ) for the First time. There are 21 papers that made the final cut and 70 elements! I still haven't made an Alpha yet for a kit but that will be on the front burner next time around. The sad thing is I just don't know when to stop!! Oh, I even made you a couple of "Button/Jewel" Clusters too!

But before you get the links... I have to show you the LO I made using Angelica's Sleepy Doodles that I bought from her shop over @ Two Little Pixels. I had soooo much fun making this LO ;) What a chubby little guy my grandson was... now he is 3 and getting so TALL.

Sweet Life Freebie Kit

I had a bad cold/flu over the weekend so didn't get to even turn my pc on for 2 whole days! Thus, I didn't get to finish up my kit for the DSO Color Challenge so that most likely won't be till later in the week. For now, I was bored over the Thanksgiving holidays and played around with a color palette that had attracted my attention. I just don't "feel" like making previews so instead here is a LO I made of my precious grandchildren and I tried Two different background papers... which do you like best?? I saved the page as a .png file so all you need to do is put whatever paper you like best "behind" it and your pics on top of the paper and behind the QP "Overlay."

Last of the Blessings freebies

Here is the last of the "Blessings" kit and it is a little different than anything I tried before... there are strips from several of the papers BUT they have extra texture added to them and some of them have a ribbon edge effect applied. I made the LO below of Two of my grandchildren to give you an idea of One way to use them. I didn't make a preview because there are over 70 strips and not really an easy way to make One. Here are some pics from Halloween... the children were soooo excited it was hard to get them to stand still!! We have the Prince and the Princess ;) Of course the Prince wouldn't wear his Knightly Head Gear and he definitely did NOT get a sword to whack people with... the Princess's Dress has fiber optics in it so once we were out in the dark all she had to do was push the button and immediately transform into Princess Light Show!

We are all Plumb Tuckered Out after another trip to the Green Meadows Farm in Kissimmee, Florida.

I hope to get some elements organized for ya'll in the next couple of days but tomorrow Morning we are starting Tumbling classes @ the Y and probably going swimming too ;) Then the big B-Day party is on Sunday for the Big Boy.

I can't believe it has been over a Month since I have made anything... I am still working out the elements for this project but I just wanted to go ahead and share some of the papers I decided I was happy with...

I have been in a strangely melancholy and introspective mood for awhile. There are so many things in this life that we have no control over whatsoever... however, despite it all, I have Six Delightful and Healthy Grandchildren, they are my JOY!

I had to go for a mammogram today. I have put it off for about 5 years now. I have been having mini panic attacks for days as both my Mom and Aunt ( her sister ) have had and survived breast cancer. Now, I have to wait 7 to 10 days for my doc to have the results. I have just decided to push it aside for now.

Oh, stick around and I will share a song with you ;) It is on you tube but not video... just a song :) I just got this CD. The song is "An Páistín Fionn" which I believe translates to "The Fair-Haired One." I don't know, I just like it? If you are interested, here are the lyrics.
